Golden Plum, Apricot + Passionfruit Wine

Tasting Notes

A clear deep gold wine that smells of stone fruit, fresh minerality and cut grass.

There's a nice little zip on the tongue, white flowers, yellow plums, enough acidity to make you want more, very easy to drink!  Subtle but lingering passionfruit at the end.  Medium sweetness, very enjoyable at room temperature now - I imagine it will go down a treat chilled in summer.

Winemaking Notes

10 litre batch

It was a hard passionfruit season here in 2023, so this is a very small batch of special wine.  Made at the end of August 2023 with fruit waiting in the freezer for the passionfruit to finally riopen.  Ironic that such a tropical tasting wine is best made in winter!  Fermented to 13% by October.  Bulk aged for four months, then six months in the bottle before being released in August 2024.
