Clear pale salmon pink in the glass with strawberries right at the front for the nose with lemon in the background.
On tasting you get a playful dance of light red berries with a restrained acidity acting like a maypole for those dancers. As a finale, I'll need you to imagine rose petals fluttering down on the scene...

Winemaking Notes
23 litre batch
The rhubarb was sourced from from our own garden as well as our lovely neighbours. In-between Christmas and New Years 2023, I hand sliced over 6kg of rhubarb, to be macerated in sugar for three days. Meanwhile, I also had homegrown red currants, raspberries and strawberries doing their own maceration thing in a seperate container. The rhubarb was sieved and rinsed several times; the berries were added to the washings then a furious ferment was started and continued for six days. After a few months it was ready for bottling in April 2024 and released in August '24.
