Unripe Golden Plums + Pineapple Wine

Tasting Notes

A clear pale yellow wine, smells like gasoline and teen spirit, in a funky good way!  Keeping with the teen theme though, on tasting there's a lovely sweetness with an acidic tang underneath.  Fresh pineapple at the beginning, juicy ripe pineapple at the end.

Winemaking Notes

11 litre batch

This is a small experimental batch, created due to circumstances, that of which was a massive branch being blown off our golden plum tree early summer.  The plums had started turning yellow and not at optimum ripeness, but they were crisp and refreshing.  With a little daydreaming, I could imagine them going well with pineapple and thus, a wine was born!  Clearly, I did not grow the pineapple, the pineapple was grown in Indonesia and put in a can for convenience.

I hope you'll like my wee experiment because as a heads up, I'm loving it and will def be making more come December!
